Why two compartments
Both slabs, kept apart
Most cases that hold two slabs let them sit against each other. Over time that is how acrylic picks up hairline scuffing.
One slab per side
Precision-sized compartments hold each slab snugly, with or without a protective slab sleeve.
Separated when closed
The recessed design keeps both cards physically apart, so they cannot touch or rub against one another.
Finger cutouts
Cutouts at the base of each compartment let you lift a slab out cleanly without prying at the edges.
Microfiber throughout
The entire interior is covered, so every surface the slab touches is soft. Acid-free and PVC-free.
The magnets
Two magnetic systems, doing different jobs
Closure magnets and spine magnets are specified separately, because holding a case shut and holding it open are opposite jobs.
Closure: strong
A secure, tactile snap when the case shuts, with deliberate resistance when you open it. It will not fall open in a bag.
Spine: light
Lighter magnets set into the spine settle the case at roughly 180 degrees when fully opened, lying flat or held in the hand.
No mechanical lock
Nothing clicks, latches, or wears out. The open position is held magnetically rather than by a hinge stop.
